Find your code
Look in the placement or least-restrictive-environment part of the IEP for the instructional setting. Code 00 means speech therapy only, and code 40 covers most students who spend the day in regular classes with supports.
Why the districts differ
Small districts get more per student under the state formula. That's why Keene, Tolar, Chico and the other rural districts in Johnson, Hood and Wise counties top Fort Worth ISD and Arlington ISD for the same IEP code.
Only at a participating school
The add-on is paid only when the student attends a participating private school or pre-K/K provider. Homeschooled students with an IEP receive the standard $2,000.
