Tarrant County special needs funding: schools, approved therapists and IEP totals

Whether your child has dyslexia, autism, ADHD or a speech need, the money question in Fort Worth and Arlington starts with the IEP. A current IEP on file with TEA can lift a TEFA account at a participating school as high as $30,000, depending on the home district and setting. This page gathers the Tarrant-area schools that reported these services, the approved providers by specialty, and what each district adds.

Where this comes from. We took each school's TEFA status from the Texas Education Freedom Accounts participating-school finder (Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts) on October 12, 2026, and its enrollment, staff count and religious affiliation from the NCES Private School Survey (U.S. Department of Education). Tuition isn't reported to either one, so get today's rates from the school itself before counting on an award.

Funded counts come from the TEFA Annual Demographic Report (data as of July 29, 2026); districts with fewer than 30 participants aren't listed in that report. All Fort Worth-area districts →
