Private & church schools in Granbury & Hood County

Lake Granbury and the county around it, including Tolar. Families here choose among Cornerstone Christian Academy, Grace Classical Christian Academy, North Central Texas Academy and a handful of TEFA pre-K centers, or drive the US 377 corridor into southwest Fort Worth. We list 5 K-12 private schools here, and 5 of them were in the TEFA finder.

Where this comes from. We took each school's TEFA status from the Texas Education Freedom Accounts participating-school finder (Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts) on October 12, 2026, and its enrollment, staff count and religious affiliation from the NCES Private School Survey (U.S. Department of Education). Tuition isn't reported to either one, so get today's rates from the school itself before counting on an award.
