Dyslexia & dysgraphia: Fort Worth schools, approved providers and TEFA

Fort Worth-area schools that report reading specialists or were founded for students with dyslexia, such as The Key School, plus approved local providers who list dyslexia work. 18 schools and 20 approved providers in the Fort Worth area match.

Where this comes from. We took each school's TEFA status from the Texas Education Freedom Accounts participating-school finder (Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts) on October 12, 2026, and its enrollment, staff count and religious affiliation from the NCES Private School Survey (U.S. Department of Education). Tuition isn't reported to either one, so get today's rates from the school itself before counting on an award.

What the account can pay for

Tuition at a participating dyslexia-focused school, raised by the IEP add-on if your child has an IEP
Structured-literacy tutoring from a provider who meets the credential policy
Dyslexia therapy that insurance doesn't cover
Diagnostic and progress testing

An approved therapist can be paid from the account only for services that Medicaid, another public program or your health plan isn't already paying for, and tutors must satisfy the Comptroller's credential rules. Everything the account covers →
