Dual Credit Tuition Waiver (TCC, Weatherford College & Hill College)

Texas's FAST program waives tuition for eligible dual-credit students. Tarrant County College applies it to homeschoolers and to students at schools with a TCC partnership agreement.

Financial Aid for Swift Transfer, or FAST, is a state program that waives tuition for dual-credit students. Tarrant County College's FAQ says the waiver covers homeschooled dual-credit students and students whose school has a partnership agreement with TCC.

For a TEFA family at a private high school, that matters because the award stays at $10,474 in grade 12 while tuition usually climbs. Ask whether your school partners with TCC. If it does, college credit costs little, and the account can cover textbooks and fees.

Outside Tarrant County, Weatherford College serves Parker County from its Weatherford campus and Wise County from a campus between Bridgeport and Decatur, and Hill College has a Johnson County campus in Cleburne. Ask each college how FAST applies to private and homeschool students before you register.
